A Prayer Upon a Rainbow
Once upon a rainbow I closed my eyes and prayed
I asked thee for forgiveness
For all the sins I sinned
I longed for thy blessings
With all my deeds be pinned
Thy mercy is what I long for
Thy love and what is more
Thy acceptance is a goal of mine
More than ever before
I beg you my creator
Exchange the human greed
With love and with sharing
With generosity indeed
Sow some of your wisdom
Inside our hearts thy Lord
Let heavens’ doors welcome
Our martyrs as they’re home
To thee Allah I complain
The human race had weakened
What dignity should they all preserve
If every man is beaten
My dear creator I thee plea
Plant a rainbow in every soul
On the face of earth to be
And let them God, feel thee
I opened my eyes and saw
That I was merely dreaming
I’m not an angel you know
For angels don’t need breathing
